Over the past month or so, Maddie and I have gone back and forth thinking about what we wanted this newsletter to be. We were writing but didn’t have any offerings to show for it…
While we deliberated what we saw for the future of Back to Our Roots, I had people reaching out to us locally asking us questions like:
How do I start a garden if I don’t have much space?
How do I set up a watering system?
How do I know how much soil to use?
What do I need if I’m going hunting for the first time?
I saw you go hunting a lot, how do I get into it?
These are all pretty simple questions but then it hit us…
THAT WAS WHY WE STARTED THE NEWSLETTER!
We wanted to help people who were at the very beginning stages of where we were 2, 4, or 10 years ago!
And sure, we love writing about the “in the weeds” topics here on Back to our Roots but we were also reminded that most people struggle to even get started on their journeys.
I also connected with a group of homeschooling moms here in Phoenix who needed someone to come teach their 4 to 8-year-olds about the big game animals you can hunt for food in Arizona.
You know, the basics, like what are they, where do you find them, and what do they eat. That, plus making it fun and interactive for the kids.
Easy peasy!
So, with all that said, we finally put our website together so that people can build personalized classes for themselves and the topics they want hands-on learning experience with.
As our larger community here, we would love if you had any feedback.
